Book Review: A Billion Reasons Why
Kristen Billerbeck writes a winner with A Billion Reasons Why, "There are a billion reasons why Kate should marry her current boyfriend. Will she trade them all to be madly in love?"
From the get-go this sounds like your typical romance, but believe me, it's not! Katie, once jilted, faced public humiliation and now lives her life very safely, but is she really living or hiding from being hurt again?
The death of Katie's father throws her into inner turmoil and she needs to face her past, when Katie learns a few truths she begins to learn a few things about herself as well, but not without a few prayers and some playful humor along the way.
Katie is not your normal 29 year old school teacher, she seems stuck in the 40's, which really isn't all that bad unless you're her fiance who couldn't care less. An upcoming wedding throws Katie right back to her past, to face her humiliation. The question is, what will she do with her life, continue on safely, or leap to the edge, face her fears and follow her heart?
I love Katie's character, she is so full of fun and I think this book is a perfect mix of romance, whit and Christian writing to keep everyone happy and on their toes as they scramble to keep up with Katie!
