Book Review: To Those Who Suffer, by Sean Nolan

To Those Who Suffer: Understanding God's purpose and pathway through pain

To Those Who Suffer, by Sean Nolan is a book that tells us what REAL suffering is.  Is having a headache considered suffering, how about having a cold, is that suffering?  You may think so until you read this book.  What about people who are feeling the loss of a loved one, how about those who have amputations, or loss of eyesight, now that is suffering.  No matter how hard these people pray they will not grow back a leg or an arm, their loved ones will not return to life.  It makes you think.

We may ask for help for our suffering but God cannot always help us the way we plan.  For instance, if we are missing an arm, he cannot grow us a new one, but God can definitely teach us how to move on, how to live within our given circumstances.

I the beginning of this book it states that this book may not be for everyone, maybe more for those who have truly suffered.  After I have read this book I know that I have not ever truly suffered, maybe I will someday, but for now, no I have not.  I can see how this book can give people hope and help them understand God's purpose, but I had a hard time reading this book.  It's not a bad book, I just didn't relate to it very well at all.  I did like the message of hope and would recommend this book to anyone who is having a difficult time.

**I received a complimentary copy of this book for review from The B & B Media Group.  I was not compensated in any other way for my honest opinion.
