Uncertain Heart, by Andrea Boeshaar
It's 1866 and Sarah wants nothing more than to leave the small town of Jericho Junction. Once arriving in Milwaukee, WI Sarah finds herself walking the streets because her new employer does not show up. When she arrives at his place of business she finds herself meeting a man with as much spunk as herself, and thank goodness because she is about to be on an adventure where a bit of spunk is needed!
Independent to a fault Sarah wants nothing more to succeed on her own, in a day and age where most women are married at her age of 20, she wants to travel and to live a city life. Working for Captain Sinclair has it's ups and downs, but when rumors start to fly, Sarah is forced to look deep into her heart and find where her true love lies. Life doesn't always turn out as expected and when Sarah's life takes a sharp turn Sarah learns to overcome and to love what is truly important.
This is the second book in the MaCabe family, reading the first book is not necessary, but I definitely would like to read book #1, Unwilling Warrior. Maybe it will show up in my Christmas Stocking!
**Special thanks to Glass Road Publications for sending me a review copy of this book, I was not compensated in any other way for my honest opinion.
