The Bridegrooms, Book Review and Giveaway! ***CLOSED***

Allison Pittman does a splendid job of bringing her characters to life in The Bridegrooms! To read an excerpt from the book go here.

This book will greatly remind you of the classic Little Women, especially with the cover. I must admit I did have a hard time getting past the cover, I would have liked to see something a bit more original, but the story was great! Allison weaves a tale of 4 young women who's mom simply vanished, Vada the oldest was only 8 years old and was left to grow up quickly in order to care for her sisters. Each of the four sisters have quite different personalities that bring life to the book as well as spunk and humor. Their lives will never be the same after the ball team called the Bridegrooms comes to town. You see, their father is a physician and an injured person is brought to their home which results in quite a stir of activity.

A quiet house no more, and not only has the home turned upside down with the recent events of the Bridegrooms, but the mystery involving the girls' mom is solved! This is a great book, a quick read, but fun, entertaining and full of character. This is definitely NOT just a romance novel!

This book was provided for review by the WaterBrook Multnomah Publishing Group

  1. I follow your blog. I met my husband at a job he had before we were saved. He was rude and I said some mean things to him. A year later he started working at the 1800Flowers.com call center where I also worked. We started talking and after a bit I realized who he was. We were together since then on and off. We had a child Nov 05. When I got saved Sep 08 I ended it and moved out. He gave his life to Christ Feb 09 and we started courting (I didn't move in till the day we got married) then getting married May 7 2009:)

I met my hubby in an engineering class in college. I was the geek sitting in the front row, taking multicolor notes and paying rapt attention. He was sitting in the back row with his buddies, laughing and cracking jokes. I'd hear them laughing in the back of the room, I'd turn around and glare at them, and he's smile and wave. Halfway through the semester, I joined them in the back row, and life has never been the same.
