Fab Smile Review and Giveaway!

Have you heard of Floss and Brush?  I'm sure you DO floss and brush, but there's a company called Floss and Brush and I've been lucky enough to be chosen to review there products!  Here is what I received:
  • Dental and whitening supplies for one year
  • 4 free annual FAB memberships
  • 1 free annual FAB + White4Life Membership
It was pretty exciting to get my first package in the mail, I love the toothbrushes, and to know I'll be getting them for an entire year....now that makes me smile!

Seriously, if you're like me you use your toothbrush until the bristles start to poke your gums....now I'll be reminded to change toothbrushes, every time I receive a new shipment in the mail!!!

The toothbrushes are comfortable to use, nice soft bristles, but not too soft.  The only complaint I have is that the dental floss is not waxed...I NEVER buy unwaxed dental floss due to the fact that my teeth are pretty close together, unwaxed just doesn't do it for me.  The rest of my family has no complaints.

I have not yet tried the whitening, I do not have a whitening tray, and I'm not sure if I want to go that route.....I have mixed feelings about whitening, if I go ahead with the whitening I'll be sure to update my progress!

My Thoughts
Winter in Full Bloom is a wonderful read, despite that it's about winter!  It is just getting too cool too fast this year....which of course has nothing to do with the book, but a lot to do with my upcoming bad attitude about the weather.  Needless to say, my attitude did not alter my thoughts on this book!

The story wraps itself around family, loving and caring family as well as dysfunctional family...which really is refreshing, the world is not perfect and I like to see a little real life in a book.  There is so much romance, faith and adventure in this book that it will keep you turning pages and just may take over your life while your reading it....it may cause you to lose a few hours of sleep because you just have to finish it!

The characters really are quite endearing and you will find them wrapping themselves around your heart, a truly wonderful book, get one for yourself and another for a stocking stuffer!

Retro Home Decor

I LOVE retro.....I live in a log home and most of my decor is antique, but would love to do a more retro home, if only!

Mix and match works if you do it right, add a little bit here and there, after all, who wants their home to look like a museum?

Mod Cloth has started a new line, that's right, Retro Home Decor, now if you've ever shopping their clothing/accessory lines you'll know how excited I am about this!

Aren't these nightlights adorable?
Furnish & Decorate - The Still of the Nightlight

...and how about this pencil sharpener?

Furnish & Decorate - Sharp Image Pencil Sharpener

and this bedding?  LOVE IT
Memories Made Anew Quilt in Twin

Now that I have so many more options at Mod Cloth my packages won't just be filled with clothing!  Is that good or bad?  I'm not so sure.

Book Review: The Letters

Suzanne Woods Fisher Invites Readers Back to Stoney Ridge in New Series

With her signature plot twists combined with gentle Amish romance, bestselling author Suzanne Woods Fisher invites readers back to Stoney Ridge for fresh stories of simple pleasures despite the complexity of life. Fisher's tale of God's providence and provision will delight her fans and create many new ones. Welcome to the Inn at Eagle Hill.
Rose Schrock is a plain woman with a simple plan. Determined to find a way to support her family and pay off her late husband's debts, she sets to work to convert the basement of her Amish farmhouse into an inn. While her family, especially her cranky mother-in-law, is unhappy with Rose's big idea, her friend and neighbor, Galen King, supports the decision and he helps with the conversion. As Rose finalizes preparations
for visitors, she prays. She asks God to bless each guest who stays at the Inn at Eagle Hill. As the first guest arrives and settles in, Rose is surprised to discover that her entire family is the one who receives the blessings, in the most unexpected ways. And she's even more surprised when that guest decides to play matchmaker for Galen King.

Suzanne Woods Fisher is the bestselling author of The Choice, The Waiting, The Search, The Keeper and The Haven, as well as nonfiction books about the Amish, including Amish Peace. Her interest in the Anabaptist cultures can be directly traced to her grandfather, who was raised in the Old Order German Baptist Brethren Church in Franklin County, Pennsylvania. Suzanne is a Christy Award finalist and a Carol Award finalist. She is the host of internet radio show Amish Wisdom and a columnist for Christian Post and Cooking &; Such magazines. She lives in California.
For more information, please visit www.suzannewoodsfisher.com and connect with her on Twitter @suzannewfisher.

“Available August 2013 at your favorite bookseller from Revell, a division of Baker Publishing Group.”

MY THOUGHTS
Rose Schrock, what a woman.  We all know that for the most part Amish women have a lot of patience, and a lot of tolerance, but with a mother-in-law like hers, Rose must have a double dose!  Her strength in that area alone made her a hero in my eyes!
Not only does Rose deal with her mother-in-law, but also with suspicions about the death of her husband, problems with people being shorted out of their investments and a missing son.
I loved how the plot in this story was so different than any other Amish story I have read it was really quite refreshing and a joy to read.  Suzanne Woods Fisher has written another keeper!

CFBA: Millie's Treasure

This week, the
Christian Fiction Blog Alliance
is introducing
Millie's Treasure
Harvest House Publishers (August 1, 2013)
by
Kathleen Y'Barbo

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:

RITA and Carol award nominee Kathleen Y’Barbo is the best-selling, award-winning author of more than forty novels, novellas, and young adult books. In all, more than one million copies of her books are currently in print in the US and abroad, and her books have been translated into Dutch, German, and Spanish, to name a few.

Kathleen is a member of American Christian Fiction Writers and Romance Writers of America. She holds a BBA from Texas A&M University’s Mays Business School and a certification in Paralegal Studies, and is a former member of the Texas Bar Association’s Paralegal Division.

A tenth-generation Texan, Kathleen Y’Barbo has four children of her own as well as seven bonus kids she gladly inherited when she married her own hero in combat boots. Kathleen is proud to be a military wife, even if it did mean giving up her Texas drivers license.

ABOUT THE BOOK

From bestselling author Kathleen Y'Barbo comes Millie's Treasure, the second book in The Secret Lives of Will Tucker series, a new set of novels involving romance, adventure, and hidden identity.

Memphis 1890--Bookish heiress Millie Jean Cope is as clever as she is beautiful. Unfortunately, though adept at solving puzzles and cryptograms, she doesn't realize her new fiancé isn't who he claims to be, but instead is a charming scoundrel. The infamous Will Tucker is presenting himself as a British gentleman, Sir William Trueck, though in reality he is a crafty criminal looking for a hidden map to a secret treasure.

Pinkerton agent Kyle Russell has been on Tucker's trail for years. At last Kyle believes he has Tucker cornered, but he is uncertain whether the lovely woman on the con man's arm is an unsuspecting victim or willing accomplice. Finding reasons to spend time with Millie is easy. Keeping himself from falling in love with her is another issue entirely. A fun and entertaining story of how God can shine the light of truth on the most cryptic circumstances.

If you would like to read the first chapter of >Millie's Treasure, go HERE.

MY THOUGHTS
This is the 2nd book in this series, and every bit as good as the first!  Actually, maybe better.  I loved the adventurous spirit of Millie, she didn't let her father get her down, she followed her heart and really was quite spunky.

Will Tucker, well you just can't help but dislike him, he just really is not a man that begs you to love him, on the other hand, Kyle Russell, I had a soft spot for him.

This book kept me turning pages well into the night, it was a deliciously fun read full of adventure and love!
